The APMA Educational Foundation Scholarship Fund is the only national funding resource devoted to students at the colleges of podiatric medicine. With a mission to strengthen and expand the field of podiatric medicine, the Foundation provides critical scholarships while boosting nationwide awareness of foot and ankle health. Eligibility
The APMA Educational Foundation awards scholarships to qualified students enrolled at the 11 schools of podiatric medicine across the country. You must meet all of the following requirements:

Application and Deadlines
Scholarship applications open March 1 and close May 1. It is important to note that late, incomplete, or applications not meeting the minimum eligibility requirements will not be considered. Funds will be disbursed in early fall. Funds will be sent directly to your school’s financial aid office and applied to your student account in accordance with each institution's policies.
The APMA Educational Foundation provided travel scholarships for the APMA 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting (The National) to eligible students and residents. Contest winners were granted a $500 award to be used toward travel expenses at the conclusion of the meeting. Congratulations to the 2024 travel scholarship recipients.
The application period for the National 2025 Scholarship Video Contest will open in May 2025.
APMWA has announced its 39th Annual Student Writing Competition sponsored by an APMA Educational Foundation endowment from Dr. and Mrs. Steven Berlin.

Applications for the Difference Maker Scholarship at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care(SAWC)/WHS Spring 2025 conference are now closed. Good luck to everyone who applied. The winner will be notified via email by March 15.
The SAWC Difference Makers is a group of inspiring individuals who actively seek to advance the practice of wound care for their patients, value being a part of an interdisciplinary care team, and most importantly, disseminate their wound care knowledge with colleagues. Selected by leaders within the Wound Healing Society, the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), and the APTA’s Academy of Clinical Electrophysiology & Wound Management - Special Interest Group (APTA ACEWM-SIG), the SAWC Difference Maker Scholarship recipients positively impact their community and will share their professional practice achievements and professional practice goals during the Difference Maker Scholarship Awards session at the conference.
