The 24th Annual Joint National Podiatric CAC-PIAC Representatives' Meeting took place in Alexandria, VA, on Friday, November 15. Nearly 60 volunteers from across the country came together for vital education and discussion about pressing reimbursement issues affecting you.
CAC Chair Theresa Hughes, DPM, oversaw a robust agenda that provided timely information for participants. Attendees heard presentations related to issues such as the CY 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, MIPS, and private insurance concerns. Additionally, Anitra Graves, MD, contract medical director, First Coast Service Options, discussed how to work with your CMDs. The meeting also included breakout sessions for attendees to collaborate on common issues.
During the meeting, Janet Simon, DPM, was recognized as the 2024 Franklin Kase, DPM, Memorial CAC-PIAC Representative of Year for her long record of dedicated service to her home state of New Mexico and podiatry in general.
