CMS has announced that the 2023 MIPS Final Score Preview is now available to all authorized representatives of practices, virtual groups, and Alternative Payment Model (APM) Entities that can sign into the Quality Payment Program (QPP) website to preview the MIPS final scores for the 2023 performance period.
This information will be available until the final performance feedback and payment adjustments are released in August 2024.
The purpose of the MIPS Final Score Preview is to allow health-care providers to preview their final score prior to the release of payment adjustment information. During this preview, providers will be able to view data that is associated with the highest score that is calculated based upon the performance category-level scores and weights, bonus points, measure-level performance data and scores, and activity-level scores. Providers will also be allowed to review supplemental reports for administrative claims-based measures for the quality and cost performance categories. Please note, this preview does not include payment adjustment information.
More information and instructions about how to access the 2023 MIPS Final Score Preview can be found in this FAQ and on the Quality Payment Program website.
Please note that July 1 was the beginning of the final 180-consecutive-day reporting period for the Promoting Interoperability (PI) Category for MIPS 2024 Performance Year. If you are planning to participate in the PI Category for 2024 but haven’t started yet, be sure you’ve made your selections for this last 180-day reporting period.
